Nepal-China Forum to Be Held in BeijingThe fourth meeting of Nepal-China Non-governmental Cooperation Forum is going to be held at the end of October this year in Beijing, China, President of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry(FNCCI) Pradeep Shrestha said on April 12.The meeting is aimed at strengthening the non-governmental cooperation between the business communities of Nepal and China, especially at attracting more Chinese investment in Nepal, he said. One particular agenda of the meeting will be exploring the potentialities to set up more Nepal-China joint ventures in Nepal, he added. Shrestha stressed that the establishment of the forum has significantly contributed to enhancing the economic and commercial information exchange between the two countries. The forum, established in 1996, holds its annual meeting in Nepal and China in turn to discuss issues relating to cooperations and exchanges on trade, investment and tourism between private sectors of the two countries. FNCCI is an umbrella organization of the Nepalese private sector and plays a key role in promoting business and industry in the country.
