This year, Hong Kong excellent scientific research prize was announced lately in Hong Kong, 10 scholars were awarded for their outstanding achievements in scientific researches.
Assessed by international scientists, the 10 winners for this year are from four respective universities in Hong Kong, and the assessment is mainly based on subjects for scientific research of the participants and their attainments achieved in recent years.
The prize was started from 1997. It is the only award for scientific research in Hong Kong, and each winner will be awarded 40,000 in US dollars.
The awarded research fields include molecule, hereditary biology, astronomical physics, optical fiber science, environment engineering, broadband science, synthetic chemistry, electric calculation chemistry, physical chemistry, medicine, and information network.
