An educational film for TV, titled "Narcotics Control Regulations in China", is ready for broadcast, the Ministry of Public Security announced on April 10. The 106-minute-long film provides detailed explanations of the drug-related regulations included in China's Criminal Law, the Compulsory Drug Rehabilitation Regulation issued by the State Council, and certain managerial regulations on anesthetic medicines and medicines for mental patients, which were issued by the Ministry of Health.
The film also includes interviews with drug dealers and addicts. Deng Ming, an official with the Ministry of Public Security, said that the film could be used as a textbook for both law enforcers and the public.
