Million Hong Kong Inhabitants Intend to Migrate to Shenzhen
According to a survey publicized in Hong Kong on April 10, 15.6 per cent of over 1,000 surveyed Hong Kong inhabitants plan to migrate to Shenzhen in the coming 10 years. It is estimated that about 1.09 million Hong Kong citizens out of the seven million of Hong Kong local people have such intention.
Interestingly enough is that another survey shows 30 per cent out of the 2,000 surveyed Hong Kong people consider moving northwards to the inland to enjoy the rest of their lives.
In view of the case, the related institutions and organizations that carried out the surveys should appeal to the SAR Government of Hong Kong to strengthen cooperation with those in the inland to make preparation beforehand.
