China, US Hold Seminar on PsychopathyExperts from China and the United States opened a seminar on psychopathy and its influence on people.The meeting will discuss new methods of curing psychopathy, including gene therapy.This is the second time for psychiatrists from the two countries to hold a seminar. The last one was held in 1988. Some 500 psychiatrists attended the meeting, featuring hot issues such as suicide, melancholia and children's mental problems. Psychopathy is said to be a major problem in China nowadays. Half of the deaths of people between the ages of 15 and 35 are suicides. |
