Official Arrest of Suspects in Killing Germans Approved

The arrest of the four suspects who allegedly murdered four members of a German family in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, has officially been approved by the Nanjing City People's Procuratorate.

The four suspects, all farmers from Shuyang County in Jiangsu, were arrested on charges of robbery and murder, the procuratorate decision said.

The four allegedly broke into the residence of Pfrang Juren Hermann, deputy general manager of Yaxing-Benz, a Sino-German automotive joint venture in the city of Yangzhou, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

They killed Pfrang, his wife, and son and daughter when they discovered the burglars.

The suspects were arrested on the spot by police, who rushed to the scene after receiving a report from guards at the residential area.
