China's Biggest Sewage Plant Up to ISO9002 Standards
The Gaobeidian Sewage Treatment Plant in Beijing, the largest of its kind in China, has met the internationally recognized quality control standard system ISO9002. The plant has recently adopted the IS09002 system to ensure that the quality of its recycled water remains consistant.
Located in the eastern suburbs of Beijing, the plant can handle about 40 percent of the one million tons of sewage discharged daily in the Chinese capital.
The plant supplies 200,000 tons of recycled water every day for industrial use and 200,000 tons for irrigation.
