It is learned from China Telecom that the deadline of preferences for international call and Yitong call being implemented now will be extended from formerly fixed March 20 to June 20.
The preference in international telephone China Telecom is currently carrying out is that for calls to the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Britain, the charge is 9.9 yuan per minute within 3 minutes(including 3 minutes), the charge is 4.9 yuan beginning from 4th minute for the call exceeding 3 minutes. The previous time-section preference still applies to these calls , in this way, the minimum charge of which can be lowered to 2.9 yuan per minute.
For the Yitong telephone opened across China at present, the preferential standard is 5 yuan, 4 yuan and 2.5 yuan per minute respectively according to the calling direction. Meanwhile, the previous time-section preference is continued, making the call to the United States at the most preferential time stand at 3 yuan per minute.
Xinhua News Agency reports that the leaders of China Telecom ask society to pay attention to the publicity and introduction made by telecommunication departments or consult them.
