Chinese Tele-diagnostics System Goes International
China has recently had a local tele-diagnostics system went international in Dalian, a coastal city in northeast China's Liaoning Province.
The city's tele-diagnostics system was first networked with the European tele-diagnostics medical institution in France, which made it possible for the doctors in the two cities to conduct medical exchanges through the Integrated Service Digital Network (ISDN) built by the China Telecom.
The tele-diagnostics system is part of the medical information network in Dalian, which was first launched in May 1999 and has been used for tele-diagnostics and medical education ever since.
