China Opposes Lee Teng-hui's Splittist Activities

The Chinese government and people firmly oppose Lee Teng-hui's splittist activities during his visit to other countries in any capacity after he stepped down as the chairman of Kuomintang and leader of Taiwan.

This is because that Lee has long engaged in activities to damage the relations between China and other countries and to split the motherland.

The remarks were made by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Sun Yuxi at a regular press conference while answering a relevant question.
