China, Japan Sign Government Documents on Yen Loans

China and Japan signed Monday documents on Japanese yen loans to China for 1999.

The loans, totaling 192.637 billion Japanese yen, are mainly for 19 projects including environmental protection projects in several Chinese cities and infrastructure projects in central and western China.

According to a press release issued by the Japanese Embassy in Beijing, Japan has provided a total of 2,453.51 billion yen of loans to China since 1979.
