Chinese Hu Wins Solo Synchronized Swimming Gold at Asian Meet

China's Hu Ni took the solo synchronized swimming title on the opening day of the 6th Asian Swimming Championships on Tuesday.

Hu collected a total of 94.094 points in her first international appearance, followed by South Korea's Kim Min Chin in second place. Japan's Michiyo Fujimaru won the bronze.

Chinese teenagers Wang Na and He Xiao will also make their international debuts in the duet event on Wednesday.

The events of swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and waterpolo are being contested at the 10-day championships.
