Yugoslavia Edges China 1-0

Yugoslavia beat China 1-0 on Tuesday for its Euro 2000 warm-up at the Partizan stadium. Predrag Mijatovic scored on a header in the eighth minute for the home side after a cross by Sinisa Mihajlovic, a free-kick specialist of Lazio Roma.

The Yugoslavs will play the Euro 2000, which starts June 13th, in a group with Spain, Norway and Slovenia. China, coached by Yugoslav Bora Milutinovic, held a tough challenge to the host but failed in scoring despite of producing several opportunities.
