Lower Postal Rates between Mainland and Hong Kong, Macao Regions

The cost of express mail services from China's inland areas to the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions is to be reduced by 14 to 35 percent. The State Postal Bureau, or SPB, says the lower prices will come into effect on April 1.

The move is aimed at making postal services between the inland areas and the Hong Kong and Macao regions more convenient.

The SPB also plans to classify postage for express mail into different categories in accordance with the distances between the various inland areas and the two special administrative regions.
