Dinosaur fossils have lately been unearthed in Lishui, Zhejiang Province, dating back over100 million years.
The fossils were found in Baiqian village of Liancheng County, Lishui City. Trial excavation made on March 22 reveals five 5- centimeter- long ribs and a 50-centimeter-long integrated humerus. Found among the findings is a dinosaur fossil in the category of a horn grazing long neck rhinoceros, a nonage fossil of the Cretaceous Period, dating back 100 million years. By its petrifaction and fire resistance greater than the rocks around, it looks likely to be fossils of a single dinosaur. Experts don't exclude the possibility that the site has mass dinosaur fossils as are shown by the fact that farmers in the village had once picked up dinosaur fossils in the 1970s.
Found for the first time in Zhejiang, according to experts, integrated dinosaur fossils as are found are of great academic value for making paleontological study in China.
