| Monday, March 27, 2000, updated at 13:45(GMT+8) World Putin Wins Presidential Election, Says OfficialRussia's Acting President Vladimir Putin has won Sunday's presidential election, Central Election Commission's chief analyst told reporters Monday. Dmitry Oreshkin also said the election is valid. Latest preliminary figures showed that Putin has grabbed 52.41 percent out of the 92.58 percent of ballots counted at 8 a.m. Moscow Time (0400 GMT).
