Hongta's momentum continues in Chinese Soccer League

Yunnan Hongta, who stunned defending champion Shandong Luneng last Sunday, recorded its second win by beating the visiting Shenzhen Ping'an 1-0 in the second round of China's Division One Soccer League on Saturday.

Hongta, in its first ever Division One season, settled the win with only four minutes left by a goal from Chang Hui, who just returned to the field from injuries.

Four-time league champion Dalian Shide, who has been struggling throughout last season, suffered a 2-0 defeat to host Chongqing Longxin.

Shide's Yugoslav head coach Milorad Kosanovic said: "It was bad luck to blame. I'm satisfied with my players' performance."

"Longxin won the match because they grasped the chance," he added.

Former champion Shanghai Shenhua beat Jilin Aodong 2-1 to record its first win. Aodong's coach Gao Hui, who was angry with the referee's ruling, was asked to leave the field in the 72nd minute.

Aodong's captain Li Guanghao was also red-carded three minutes later for crude movements, which ignited a row between players of the two teams and the match was interrupted for several minutes

In the day's other matches, Xiamen lost to Luneng 2-0, Liaoning was held a goalless draw by Shenyang Haishi and Sichuan Quanxing won Qingdao Hailiu by 3-1.
