Fiber Cable to Link Xi'an, ChongqingConstruction of a fiber cable project linking Xi'an in northwest China with southwest China's major cities of Chengdu and Chongqing began on March 25. The 1,400 km cable project, listed as a key national project, is designed to improve telecommunications services for the areas through which the cable runs.
