China Attracts $311 Billion Foreign Investment

China has so far actually used 311.5 billion US dollars of foreign investment by the end of last February, according to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) on March 22.

The total number of foreign-funded enterprises had reached 344, 288, with a contractual foreign investment of 620.3 billion US dollars.

In the first two months of this year, China approved 2,475 enterprises involving foreign investment, up 10.99% over the same period of last year; with 6.25 billion US dollars of contractual investment, up 13.48%, and 3.68 billion US dollars already in use, down by 12.4%.

In February alone, China approved 1,050 foreign-funded enterprises, absorbing 2.8 billion US dollars of contractual foreign investment, and actually using 1.85 billion US dollars.
