Zimbabwe Stresses Its One China Stand

The Zimbabwean government Monday stressed that the change of leaders in Taiwan won't change its stance insisting on " One China" policy.

Zimbabwean Vice-Foreign Minister Nicholas Goche made the remarks while meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Huang Guifang.

Goche said Taiwan is an inalienable part of China. Zimbabwe is fully aware that Taiwan issue is a very important one for the reunification of China, and Zimbabwe has always insisted that there is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is only a province of China.

He said that as an old friend of China, no matter what happens, Zimbabwe will always be a firm supporter for China's reunification cause and sincerely hope that the People's Republic of China will realize its reunification with Taiwan as soon as possible after the return of Hong Kong and Macao to the motherland.
