Congolese President Urges Africa-China Cooperation

President Denis Sassau-nguesso of the Republic of Congo said in Beijng on March 20 that Africa and China should strengthen cooperation to meet the challenges of economic globalization. He made the remark in a speech delivered at the Foreign Affairs College in Beijing.

In the speech titled "China, Africa and Globalization", he said that economic globalization is increasingly becoming a reality as the international economic structure undergoes profound changes.

He said that economic globalization will bring both opportunities and challenges to African countries and other developing countries.

The Congolese president noted that mutual cooperation will help the developing countries to develop their own economies and realize economic prosperity.

China has scored impressive economic achievements during the past two decades and African countries value their cooperation with the Chinese side, he said, adding that Africa and China should establish a multi-layer and multi-field cooperation framework.
