The Rockets won the two previous games 116-94 and 113-10.
The defending champion overcame a shaky start to make it 22-22 with five minutes to go in the first quarter, which ended 35-29 in the Rockets' favor.
The visiting Sharks knew the victory will not be theirs after trailing 54-35 in the halftime.
Chinese national center Wang Zhizhi (2.12m), who last June became the first Asian picked in the NBA draft, was overshadowed by the 1.98m teammate Li, who scored seven three-pointers.
