An international neurosurgery seminar was held in Beijing recently to discuss developments in the field, which was attended by 300 specialists including eminent neuroscientists from China, the United States, Germany, Japan, Argentina and the Republic of Korea. Many academic papers were presented at the three-day meeting. They discussed current findings and future prospects of the research results and technologies in neurological science, and focused on advanced medical equipment now available to neurosurgeons. They also visited the Beijing Institute of Neurosurgery, the largest and best of its kind in Asia, and attended a ceremony marking the institute's 40th anniversary. In the past four decades, the institute, founded by Prof. Wang Zhongcheng, has achieved hundreds of research findings. |
