Ministry Urges Strict Management of Government Funds

The Ministry of Finance has called for stricter management of government funds. It warned that illegal government funds set up by local government departments who do not have the authority to do so have created a heavy financial burden for local people and enterprises.

The ministry ordered that government funds must be managed according to relevant income and spending regulations. Anybody who appropriates money without permission will be severely punished.

The ministry's examination procedure must be strictly followed in establishing, changing or eliminating government funds.

The notice called for all levels of financial departments to set up their own review system for regular checks of the funds.
