Improved Education Facilities for Pupils in a Mountainous Area in China

Ethnic pupils of the Lis in the primary school of Wuzhishan Village, Hainan Province, are learning to use computers, gifts from Haikou City.

Sishui Primary School has by its embroidery and like courses as traditional arts and crafts won wide fame in Longsheng, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Though living in a poverty-stricken mountainous area of south China, these children have come to be given a much improved primary education with support from various quarters by acting on the strategy of invigorating the Chinese nation through developing science and education.
