11th Macao Art Festival Opened

กก Under the auspices of MASR Chief Edmund Ho Hau-wah, the 11th Macao Art Festival has formally raised its curtain on March 11 night at the Special Administrative Region's Macao Cultural Center.

กก It is the first large art festival to last 16 days hosted by MASR after its return to the motherland. The festival will feature as many as 40 stage performances, music and dance parties, operas and ballad singing along with an art exhibition, movie show and thematic lectures of art by participants from China, Macao, Hong Kong, Russia, Portugal, and other countries and regions. Artists from the heartland of China will also put on stage many outstanding art items at the festival.

China Movie Week during the festival will show the achievements of Chinese movie directors in recent years.

The art festival is believed to bring Macao residents and tourists high-level art enjoyment and promote cultural exchanges with foreign countries.
