75th Anniversary of Dr. Sun Yat-san Marked in Beijing

Beijing held a meeting on March 12 in commemorating the 75th anniversary of the death of Dr. Sun Yat-san, great precursor of Chinese democratic revolution. At 9 am, people from various social circles gathered and stood in front of the bust of Dr. Sun Yat-san at Zhongshan Hall of Zhongshan Park in paying tribute to this great patriot of the Chinese people.

Ye Xuanping, vice-chairman of the CPPCC, He Luli, vice-chairwoman of the NPC Standing Committee, representing the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK) Central Committee, Liu Yandong, vice-minister of the CPPCC United Front Work Department, Liu Jingmin, vice-mayor of Beijing, representing Beijing Municipal Government, and Han Ruqi, chairman of RCCK Beijing Municipal Committee presented wreaths to the bust of Dr. Sun Yat-san.

The ceremony was presided over by Zhou Tienong, vice-chairman of the CPPCC and vice-chairman of the RCCK.

Tian Jiyun, Cheng Siyuan, Wu Jieping, Jiang Zhenghua, Lu Jiaxi, Zhang Siqing, Sun Fuling, Wan Guoquan, Fei Xiaotong and Lei Jieqiong along with leading personages from the NPC, CPPCC, United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, the RCCK and representatives attending the 3rd Sessions of the 9th NPC and CPPCC were present at the ceremony.
