HK, Macao Students to Join in National English Oratorical Contest

Students from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the University of Macao will participate in the 21st Century Cup national English oratorical contest to be held late this month in South China's Guangzhou City.

This is the first time that Hong Kong and Macao college students join in the contest sponsored by China's English newspaper China Daily and P&G Rejoice brand. A total of 24 contestants will make speeches on the topic of " My Definition of Success".

Two winners from the competition will be sent to London to attend the International Speaking English Competition organized by the English Speaking Union. Two runners-up will be offered an opportunity in a two-week language training program in Britain, and another two finalists will be sent to Singapore for a one-week visit.
