Yang Yang (A) Wins Women's 1500m at Short Track Speed Skating

Defending champion Yang Yang (A) of China outsprinted two South Korean rivals to win the women's 1500m gold medal at the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships in Sheffield Wednesday.

The 24-year-old girl from China's Heilongjiang province was clocked two minutes 32.707 seconds for the title. Park Hye-Won of South Korea was second at 2^South Koreans found some comfort through the men's event through Min Ryoung, who covered the 1500m at two minutes 23.098 seconds.

Eric Bedard of Canada was second at 2^China's Li Jiajun, defending gold medalist, managed to finish fifth in the six-skaters final.
