According to Zhang Hemin, director of the Wolong China Panda Protection Research Center, two giant pandas, Jin Zhu and Shuang Shuang, will be "lent" to Kobe Prince Zoo of Japan in late April for a 10-year scientific research on panda breeding.

The two pandas were born in the aforesaid Center. "Jin Zhu", male, was born in August 1996 and now weighs 96 kg. "Shuang Shuang", weighing 93 kg, was born in September 1995. They are both in good health.
