Bi Guodian, director of China's National Textile Information Center, indicated recently that a network company limited now under preparations is expected to go online for its textile business this year. The period for textiles and garments is relatively short. Newly developed products usually sell best in one week, this will be followed by other enterprises one after another to copy the style. Therefore, enterprises cry for a shorter dealing term, which can be easily realized by e-business. There is reportedly no problem for textile e-business in terms of technologies and means. The main trouble is the lack of necessary material foundations.

China's Textile Information Center is negotiating with large domestic enterprises on establishing an Internet company limited. Textile Spare Products Base on the Internet will be a pitching-in point of e-business of the textile industry. The Center will set up a virtual database to provide the country's tens of thousands of textile enterprises with information about fittings for their inquiry and on-line business.
