B-Type to A-Type Blood Conversion Achieved in China

News reports from Military Medical Science Institute say that the institute has succeeded in its B-type to O-type blood conversion. This will contribute without doubt to a great ease on a shortage of blood supply to meet various emergencies as those involving natural disaster, unexpected accidents and war fighting.

Scientists in the institute have also made important headway by using chemical substance modification method in converting AB type blood. Up to now, they are engaged in efforts for A-type to O-type blood conversion.
