Hu Changqing Executed for Bribery

Hu Changqing, former deputy governor of east China's Jiangxi Province, was executed this morning in the provincial capital of Nanchang.

Hu's death sentence was ratified on Tuesday by the Supreme People's Court of China.

Hu was convicted on charges of bribery and possession of property from unidentified sources, and received the death sentence at the final ruling of the provincial Higher People's Court.
