The eastern gate of the ancient Yangzhou City in Jiangsu Province, the key cultural protection unit at national level, was brought to light on March 3 after being buried underneath for nearly 1,000 years. The ruin was discovered by Yangzhou archaeological team in an exploration for transforming the old city of Yangzhou.
