11 Individuals Heavily Rewarded for Contribution in Qingdao

Eleven individuals have recently been cited for their outstanding success in scientific research and their great contributions to the spread and application of scientific achievements, each with a sum of 150,000 yuan of reward in Qingdao.

A bonus amounting to over 10 million yuan has been awarded to 72 individuals in Qingdao since 1992. It is reported that the 11 individuals thus rewarded are at an average age of 37, with the youngest at 29, to show a younger average age of over 10 years than that of other winners of the same award three years ago.

Among the award winners are also individuals working in private enterprises included on the list of outstanding scientific personnel having been heavily rewarded by the municipal government of Qingdao. Chen Subin is one who has won special citation for his invention and application of scientific achievements and his creative work in opening international markets as president of Qingdao Jinwang Group Company. Along with the 11 outstanding award winners are also 11 legal persons from related departments having been commended for their contribution made, each with 5,000 yuan awarded.

News reports also say new large rewards, graded as special prize with a large sum of as many as 500,000 yuan, first prize with a reward of 200,000 yuan, then second and the third prize will be awarded next year. In addition, 10,000 yuan "Bo Le" awards will also be granted in commendation of those of "Bo Le" type enterprise managers and administrators for their use and the rise of merited award winners in Qingdao.
