Almost one quarter of the 426 performances in the Beijing Odeum were on foreign classic music, including symphony, ballet, and opera, and the works by two Chinese well-known musicians Lu Siqing, and Fu Cong, a celebrated pianist, were among the most impressive ones last year. Li Jia, a college student and a classic music fan, said that such music has the power to touch the deep inside of the audience, and she just felt greatly moved whenever she enjoyed Beethoven's symphonies.
