Bricks of Tian'anmen Square Put Into Museum

Yesterday, two common bricks of Tian'anmen Square were collected by the Museum of Chinese History and Museum of Chinese Revolution

The bricks are two of the 600,000 cement bricks replaced last year in the renovation of Tian'anmen Square. These bricks were paved in the construction of the Square in 1958. It's said that the majority of replaced bricks were given to the garrison force of Beijing, while the ones around the flagpole were specially retained and kept as archives in kind by the Tian'anmen Management Committee. The two bricks sent to the two museums were from this part and were diminished by one-25th of the original. A book named "Tian'anmen" and a beautifully designed gold-foil paintings featuring the buildings around Tian'anmen Square were stored at the same time.

Resources say that the iron chains of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco were once regarded as valuable gifts for international friends or were stored by people.
