International Education Exhibition To be Held in Beijing

The 2000 International Higher Education Exhibition will be held from February 26 to March 12 in five Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi'an and Wuhan.

Over 160 universities from 18 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, and Germany will participate, said an official from the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, the host of the event.

As part of the show, the center will cooperate with Embark, a U. S. company which helps students with on-line college applications, to provide the on-line service for prestigious U.S. universities.

The exhibition aims at promoting education exchanges and joint- sponsorship of higher learning institutions between China and other countries.
