HK Chief Executive to Attend NPC as Non-voting Delegate

Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Tung Chee Hwa will attend the curtain-up ceremony of the Third Session of the Ninth National People's Congress (NPC) held in Beijing on March 5 as a non-voting delegate, a spokesman for the HKSAR government said on February 24.

According to the spokesman, Tung Cheehwa will leave for Beijing on March 4 and return to Hong Kong on March 6.

Accompanying Tung on the visit will be Information Coordinator Stephen Lam, Private Secretary to the Chief Executive Richard Yuen and Special Assistant to the Chief Executive Chan Kin-ping.
