New Measures to Improve Public Security

The Chinese Ministry of Public Security announced today a series of new measures to further improve the work of the public security sector, Xinhua News Agency reported on Wednesday.

Minister Jia Chunwang said that the 12 measures are expected to ensure the public security institutions do a better job to help develop the socialist market economy.

The new measures mainly focus on political education and building a new public security image. These measures include providing further education for public security officers and punishing police officers who break the law.

Jia called on all public security organs to take action and ensure that these new measures are implemented.
