Chinese Women Soccer Team Duly AwardedThe International Olympic Committee (IOC) recently announced its first outstanding women sports achievement award. The Chinese women soccer team, as a team representing Asia, has thus been given the honor. According to IOC, the Chinese women soccer team has as award winner won over 20 titles at various national, regional or world games since 1980; it has set a fine example for all Chinese women athletes by its outstanding achievement, self-confidence and aspirations for new successes. Still, another report says the Chinese women soccer team on February 23 was found during a training session at Panyu in south China's Guangdong Province beat Russian team 4:2 in the first round of Sino-Russia Women's Football Dual Meet.
