China Has No Intention to Attend G-8 Summit

China has stated for many times that it has no intention of attending the G-8 summit meeting and relevant activities, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhu Bangzao said in Beijing Tuesday at a regular press conference.

He said that China's stand and views on Asian-Pacific affairs and other important international problems are known to all.

Zhu pointed out that the key role the United Nations and the UN Security Council have played in international affairs can not be replaced. This view has been accepted by the international communities, he added.
