Thursday, February 24, 2000, updated at 16:53(GMT+8) China Chinese Democratic Parties Back "One China Policy"The Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang and Jiu San (September 3) Society recently held a symposium respectively on the "One China Policy and the Taiwan Problem" white paper issued on February 21, expressing their firm support for the "One China policy" of the Chinese Government. Zhou Tienong, vice chairman of CPPCC and vice chairman of the Standing Committee of Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, reiterated the profound historical significance of issuance of the white paper at the RCCK's symposium held. Zhou said that one-China principle is the basis and prerequisite for peaceful reunification and developing cross-Straits contacts or holding talks between the two sides and that the so-called "referendum" or "German mode" and the like can by no means be accepted by all Chinese compatriots.กกกก "The Jiu San Society gives its full back to the white paper," Wu Jieping, chairman of the Central Committee of the Jiu San Society, said at the JSS symposium called. A complete solution to the Taiwan problem is now strongly demanded by the Chinese people after the return of Hong Kong and Macao to the motherland, he said.
