World Economic Forum to Move to China

The 2000 World Economic Forum, taking "New Start and New Thought" as the theme, will move to China and to join hands with the Federation of Chinese Enterprises to hold the "2000 China Enterprises Summit of World Economic Forum" in April 2000.

The theme of this summit is the "increasingly notable global role of China: Influence, Opportunity and Challenge". In view of the establishment of China's market economic structure, a clear situation regarding its entry into the WTO and the sustained growth of its economy, the world shows more interest in China, some 300 leaders from transnational corporations are expected to attend the meeting, also present there will be more than 100 Chinese representative entrepreneurs.
