A sleet with partial hailstones hit Yao'an County in southwest China's Yunnan Province this morning, which was jolted by an earthquake merely half a month ago.

The sleet began at 2:00 A.M. (Beijing Time) today, and hailstone lasted for some 10 minutes and more in some nearby areas. The bad weather has made things even worse for locals residents inthe quake-hit area, as many of them are still living in the tents in the open.
The county government has immediately sent relief materials and other daily essentials to the areas with poorer conditions, and stalks and straw mattresses have been collected in the county for keeping the quake victims warm.
The two successive quakes measuring 5.9 and 6.5 on the Richter scale jolted Yao'an County on January 15, leaving five local people dead, 1,544 injured, and more than 90,000 others homeless.
