China Concludes WTO Accession Talks with Brazil, Sri Lanka

China has concluded bilateral talks with Brazil and Sri Lanka over China's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva on January 22.

At separate signing ceremonies held Friday afternoon at the WTO headquarters in Geneva, China's chief trade negotiator Long Yongtu signed the bilateral agreements respectively with trade ambassadors of Brazil and Sri Lanka.

Long said that Brazil and Sri Lanka are important WTO members from the developing world and both of them have maintained good relations with China.

He stressed that the agreements with the two countries will not only accelerate the process for China's accession to the WTO, but will also promote further development of China's trade and economic relations with them.
