Chinese President Jiang Zemin had friendly talks with former Russian President Boris Yeltsin on phone on January 13.

Yeltsin said on the phone that acting Russian President Vladimir Putin will join hands with Jiang to bring the Russia-China friendly ties into the 21st century.
