Titleholder Bayi Rockets remained atop the standings as they made light work of Jilin Northeast Tigers 108-93 at home courts at the fifteenth round of the Chinese basketball league on Sunday.

Rockets, who appeared sluggish at the outset as they collected only 7 points during the opening 6 minutes, found their rhythm by sparking a 10-2 run in the following three minutes to tie the scoring 17-all.

The defending champions allowed few chances for the visitors as they finished the first quarter 22-21 and the first half 53-48.

The Northeast Tigers tried to claw back into the game by cut the deficit to 2 points at the opening stage of the next half, only to see the home team pull away and settle the competition by a gap of 15 points.

Rockets, who leads the standings with 29 points after the round, saw 6 players scoring double digits, compared to 5 of the visitors, who stayed at third from bottom with 21 points.
