FINA World Cup short-course concluded in Hong Kong on Sunday. China won 11 out of total 34 championships at this meet.

Up-and-rising Chinese star Yang Yu completed a hat trick with her teammate Xie Xufeng at the FINA World Cup short-course meet Hong Kong leg Sunday.

The Chinese team, most of them being youngsters, repeated Saturday's performance by collecting five out of 17 gold medals Sunday, and owned a total of 11 golds, 3 silvers and 6 bronzes in the two-day meet.

"We have achieved what we wanted in the tournament. In fact, our swimmers' results are not so good because they are not in top form now, " said Chinese team leader Xue li.

Canada ranked second in the medal tally by collecting seven golds, followed by Australia, United States and Germany ranking third each getting three golds.

Yang Yu, a 14-year-old swimmer who won two titles Saturday, took the title of the women's 100-meter freestyle in a time of 55.26. Her teammates Li Jin and Sun Dan finished second and third, respectively.

After winning two golds Saturday, Xie Xufeng added another gold to his belt by taking a gold in his major event -- men's 200 meter Medley with a time of 1:59.60.

The next FINA Swimming World Cup leg will be held in Hobart, Australia from January 17 to 18.
