Tibetan Scroll Painting in Guinness Record Book

A 600-meter-long Tibetan scroll painting that took 300 artists four years to complete was recently accepted as a world record by Guinness.

The painting was created by more than 300 artists of Tibetan, Tu, Mongolian and Han nationalities from Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan, and Yunnan provinces, and the Tibet Autonomous Region.

The painting depicts Buddhist life in Tibet, the formation of the world, Tibetan history, various sects of Tibetan Buddhism, and Tibetan culture and folk customs.

Materials used for the scroll include gold, silver, coral, pearl, precious stones, and saffron crocus.
